InFocus Introduces Affordable, High-Performance Projectors For First Time Buyers
Industry Leader Offers Small Businesses and Educators Best-in-Class Products Designed for Easy Set-up, Use and Management
InFocus® Corporation (Nasdaq: INFS) (OSE: IFC), the worldwide leader in digital projection, introduces the InFocus LP®240 and LP250, two competitively priced LCD projectors in InFocus' new series developed to drive effortless customer usability and facilitate everyday projector use.
Extensive InFocus research showed easy set-up, management and usability are of primary importance to buyers and users of projection technology. For users with small or medium businesses, or for those in the education and government markets, these requirements need to be balanced with affordability. InFocus designed the LP240 and LP250 specifically to meet these needs, offering digital projectors that are not only affordable, but also full-featured, and easy to own, use and share.
"With the LP240 and LP250, InFocus succeeded in combining essential usability elements with an affordable price point that enables first-time and cost-conscious buyers to experience the benefits of digital projection," said Candace Petersen, Ph.D., vice president of corporate marketing, InFocus Corporation. "These projectors are among the first in InFocus' new customer-centric series that will help drive digital projection adoption mainstream."
Both projectors also feature standardized and intuitive user interfaces, menus and keypads for exceptional usability. At 1000 and 1100 lumens, respectively, the LP240 and LP250 can easily be connected to VCRs and DVD players to display vivid, high-quality video, as well as to a PC for presentations, training and collaboration. An optional compartmentalized carry case keeps cables and connectors organized, color coded and labeled, for quick, easy set-up.
The LP240 and LP250 also include Projector Manager™ software, which enables users to discreetly control a projector from the connected PC, including presentation alteration, keystone correction, contrast/brightness adjustment and source switching. Additionally, both projectors are compatible with InFocus ProjectorNet™, the company's comprehensive software solution that allows IT professionals to monitor and control projectors across a network.
At 5.8 pounds, the SVGA LP240 and XGA LP250 are easily shared among classrooms or offices, and are portable enough to be taken on the road. Both projectors feature monitor loop-through for always-on desktop monitor functionality, even when the projector is off. Manual zoom, digital keystone correction and quiet performance allow for flexibility in small meeting rooms. Both the LP240 and LP250 lower the total cost of projector ownership through compatibility with industry standard cables, interchangeable accessories and optional security locks.
Warranties and Availability
The LP250 and LP240 will be available in September 2002 with estimated street prices of $2,999 and $1,999 respectively. The projectors come with a standard two-year warranty and one year of ProXchange service.
