Small, High-Performance LP70 Ideal as Mobile Collaboration Tool
InFocus® Corporation (Nasdaq: INFS) (OSE: IFC), the worldwide leader in digital projection, today introduced the InFocus LP®70, the projection industry's premium two pound projector. Leveraging the success of the LP130 and seventh-generation expertise in DLP™ technology by Texas Instruments, the LP70 delivers the optimal, no-sacrifice combination of portability, performance and connectivity, enabling mobile professionals to deliver collaborative, successful presentations.
At only 2.4 pounds (1.1kg) and small enough to fit in the palm of your hand at less than 90 cubic inches (1500 cubic centimeters), the LP70 is optimized for portability. The convenient, all-in-one design features intelligent electronics to optimize the projected image based on a room's existing light conditions; dual sensors allow wireless remote command from anywhere in the room; and a leveling foot enables horizontal image control for perfect images on almost any surface.
The LP70 has also been optimized for collaborative environments. With 1100 lumens of brightness, 800:1 contrast ratio and XGA resolution, the LP70 performs beautifully in conference room settings at a whisper-quiet 32 dB, delivering rich, vibrant colors and sharp images. InFocus' Projector Manager™ software, which ships standard with the LP70, allows presenters to discreetly control the projector and spice up presentations - with functions such as picture-in-picture and digital zoom/magnify - directly from the connected PC. The LP70 also features an optical zoom lens with focus and zoom adjust, enabling one-touch image resizing for greater presenting flexibility from anywhere in the room. A built-in speaker enables users to incorporate sound into presentations.
Connectivity is another key benefit of the LP70, which features fully-integrated support for computer, composite- and S-video (including PAL, NTSC and SECAM) and audio input sources. Through the M1-DA connector, the LP70 is also future-ready for wireless applications.
University studies indicate that electronic presentations are 43 percent more successful in persuading audience members to "call for action." Studies also show that meetings conducted with digital projectors result in faster, better decisions. With its combination of portability, performance and connectivity, the LP70 is the optimal presentation tool for running more successful and collaborative meetings.
"The LP70 underscores InFocus' vision of leveraging projection technology for making business professionals more productive," said Candace Petersen, Ph.D., vice president of corporate marketing, InFocus Corporation. "Based on key customer feedback, our engineers incorporated premium functionality into a very small form factor. As a result, we believe the LP70 will deliver the outstanding image that the customer wants and expects."
According to Stanford Resources, shipments of projectors weighing three pounds or less are expected to grow from 75,000 units in 2001 to 1.9 million units in 2007. As the worldwide leader in the digital projection industry, InFocus is helping to drive this growth by manufacturing reliable, easy-to-use projectors that offer best-in-class performance.
