Sim2 Multimedia Introduces The HT300 Plus
SIM2 Continues to Offer Consumers State-of-the-Art Technology as Soon as it is Available
Minneapolis, USA - 27 september 2002 : CEDIA EXPO 2002 - SIM2 Multimedia S.p.A., the leading manufacturer of home theater projectors announces the newest addition to their renowned line of Grand Cinema DLP™ projectors: the HT300 PLUS.
At CEDIA 2001, SIM2 has unveiled the high Definition HT300 projector; a projector that, thanks to its outstanding colorimetry, black level, and contrast ratio, was immediately acknowledged as the new standard in the Home Theater market. One year later, SIM2 is proud to announce the new HT300 PLUS that features a 28% reduction of the black level, a 17% increase of the brightness for an overall increase of the contrast ratio of +63%.
The HT300PLUS offers the following array of upgraded features:
new 16:9 Texas Instruments HD2 chip set: The HD2 chip maintains the same High-Definition resolution of 1280 x 720, but has a micromirror tilting angle of 12° instead of the previous 10°.
Higher Contrast Ratio (+ 63%): The new HD2 chip, along with a further improved color wheel and light engine, allows the SIM2 HT300 PLUS to reach a true contrast ratio of > 1800:1 thus delivering on the screen an even more realistic image. In respect to the already excellent performance of the HT300, SIM2 has further reduced the black level of –28% (almost matching the output of a CRT projector) and increased the brightness by +17%.
DVI D 24-pin input: The DVI-D input allows a complete digital connectivity to an increasing amount of video sources equipped with digital outputs, thus guaranteeing a perfect reproduction, without any loss of information or interference in the signal.
New cabinet colors: The HT300 PLUS is available in the same Dark Metal Gray as the HT300, as well as Royal Burgundy and Shiny Silver.
The HT300PLUS also sports all of the stunning features of the previous HT300 model, such as: Built-in deinterlacer and video enhancement: Directional Correlational Deinterlacing (DCDiTM) by Faroudja
Accurate colour rendition: Thanks to a sophisticated proprietary optical design and a very high performance zoom lens, the reds, greens and blues are rich, saturated and vibrant colors. 6-segment colour wheel: the 6-segment color wheel dramatically reduces the color separation artifacts (commonly referred as a "rainbow effect"); the annoying colour flickering visible to a small percentage of individuals.
Complete compatibility with all video sources, picture standards (PAL, NTSC, SECAM) and computer graphics up to 1600 x 1200 pixels resolution (compressed).
