NEC Offers Lower Total Cost of Projector Ownership With New VT45K
VT45K Offers Longest Lamp Life in Class at 3500 Hours; Through December 31st, VT45K Buyers Receive $1,330 Estimated Cost After $150 End-User Rebate--and Extra Year of Warranty Coverage
Itasca, Ill., December 9, 2002 - NEC Solutions (America), Inc. today introduced the VT45K, an enhanced version of NEC's top-selling VT45 projector for mobile and tabletop applications. The new projector enriches the VT45's high-performance feature set by more than doubling the VT45's lamp life in standard mode to 2200 hours and offering a 3500-hour lamp life in Eco-ModeT, lowering the projector's total cost of ownership considerably.
On units purchased through December 31st, VT45K users also benefit from a reduced estimated cost of $1,330 after $150 end-user rebate and from an extra year of InstaCare coverage. InstaCare is NEC's industry-leading service and support program that includes next business day replacement or three business day repair and return. The VT45K is the only projector in its class to include three years of this type of coverage free with a projector purchase.
"With the VT45K, NEC offers users the richest feature set, best warranty coverage, and lowest total cost of ownership of any projector in its class," said Bob Guentner, projector product manager for NEC Solutions America, Visual Systems Division. "The VT45K clearly redefines the term 'value' for mobile and tabletop projectors."
The VT45K is bright enough at 1000 ANSI lumens for use in small to large meeting rooms, classrooms and conference rooms and is light enough at 5.6 lbs. for mobile presenters. And even novice users can easily operate the VT45K thanks to its one-touch setup and operation.
VT45K users also benefit from features not usually seen in this price category. These include NEC's exclusive VORTEX Technology PlusÔ image enhancement system to give the VT45K the most natural, realistic colors and versatile image production in its class, manual lens shift, and a projector/PC remote.
Teachers can utilize the VT45K's monitor output to project while looking at an external monitor. And NEC's participation in the SMARTer Kids Foundation program, which awards sizeable money-saving grants to educational institutions purchasing NEC display products, makes the VT45K an even greater value for educators.
Complete Service and Support Program
The VT45K includes two years of NEC's industry-leading InstaCare service and
support program along with a limited parts and labor warranty. Users
purchasing a VT45K by December 31st get a free additional year of warranty
coverage. According to Pacific Media Associates' 2001 Large Display
Reseller Survey, NEC ranked highest among all display manufacturers for its
warranty and repair/return programs, as well as for its end-user support and
knowledgeable, responsive support persons.
