Hitachi Announces New Lightweight HDTV-Compatible Projector

BRISBANE, Calif., February 13, 2003 - Hitachi America, Ltd., a subsidiary of Hitachi, Ltd., Tokyo, Japan (NYSE: HIT), today announced the availability of the CP-SX5600W, an affordable, yet high-definition Liquid Crystal on Silicon (LCOS) projector which is light enough for mobile users and feature-rich enough to use in a corporate boardroom or a theater-like environment. The CP-SX5600W features 1,800 ANSI lumens and sharp SXGA resolution for a vivid projection image at an XGA price point.

Hitachi's Motion Adaptive Progressive Scan Technology also enhances the video quality of the CP-SX5600W, providing rich, clean images.
