NEW DOMINO 20 AND 30 DLP PROJECTORS PROVE OUTSTANDING HOME THEATER ENTERTAINMENT IS ATTAINABLE FOR EVERYONE

Press Release  |  Sep 7, 2003

Miramar, FL - CEDIA Expo -- September 2003 - SIM2 USA Inc., announces the newest addition to their renowned collection of DLPä projectors: the DOMINO line. Perfecting the synergy of high quality video projection and the home, new DOMINO 20 and DOMINO 30 projectors prove outstanding home theater entertainment is for everyone.

Combining elegance and ease-of-use with the cutting edge design and technology synonymous with SIM2 Multimedia, the new DOMINO line upholds a long-standing tradition of outstanding home theater projectors and displays. By transforming the living room into a venue DOMINO captivates the excitement of sports, action of video games, and the intensity of the movies while delivering clarity and fidelity never experienced in home theater.

The DOMINO series, including the entry-level priced DOMINO 20 and the DOMINO 30, offers wide input selection to provide complete compatibility with all video sources and PC devices available, perfect for the neophyte and connoisseur. DOMINO 20 features the new Texas Instruments "Matterhorn" native 16:9 Wide PAL DMD chip set (1024 x 576 pixels) that, coupled with SIM2's proprietary optical engine, delivers an exceptional image quality.

The DOMINO 30 is based on the 16:9 Texas Instruments HD2 chip-set that delivers native 720p for true high definition capability (1280 x 720 pixels). The HD2 chip along with the new enhanced color wheel allows the DOMINO 30 to reach a contrast ratio of more than 2000:1, delivering excellent color balancing and saturation and a reduction in black level, for highly-accurate color rendition capabilities.

Easily set on a bookshelf or installed on the ceiling behind the viewer, DOMINO's long throw lens enables preferred behind-viewer positioning to recreate a true cinematic experience. Except for the chip set, the DOMINO 30 shares all of the same features of the DOMINO 20 such as long throw lens; sophisticated optical design and high performance zoom lens for a rich and accurate color rendition. Both DOMINO 20 and 30 feature an innovative color wheel for highly-accurate color rendition capabilities and for vibrant reds, greens and blues. With DOMINO, SIM2 offers top of the line quality at an incredibly reasonable price, making these versatile projectors ideal for family entertainment.

Attractively presented in a smoothly designed housing, both DOMINO 20 and DOMINO 30 feature built-in Directional Correlation Deinterlacing and video enhancement (DCDiTM) by Faroudja. The DOMINO line is completely compatible for video sources, picture standards (PAL, NTSC, SECAM) and computer graphics up to UXGA pixel resolution (compressed).

For the first time, both projectors will be available in black and white. Their MSRP's are $5995.00 for DOMINO 20 and $8995.00 for DOMINO 30.
