Richard Gray's Power Company Introduces the Pole Pig(tm)

Press Release  |  Oct 7, 2003

New Orleans, LA - Richard Gray's Power Company(tm) (RGPC) introduces the first 700va, audiophile build quality isolation transformer for the home theater and custom installation markets. Coined the Pole Pig(tm), it takes its name from the utility company transformer mounted high on poles in so many neighborhoods across America.

Bars that crawl through the picture of a display, or an annoying hum that you just can't seem to get rid of, are caused by incompatibilities between your components ground voltages, commonly referred to as ground loops. Like its big brother the SubStation, the Pole Pig is designed primarily as an isolation transformer to help eliminate these ground loops that plague home theater systems. The Pole Pig provides total isolation from the neutral and hot legs of the AC line, and aids in RF-band noise removal as well.

Featuring six Hubbell outlets, the Pole Pig is perfect for isolating the front-end components (preamp, DVD player, music server, etc.) of a home theater system, or can power a complete audiophile-grade audio system. The Pole Pig can be coupled with existing RGPC parallel inductor models resulting in the RGPC IsoGray System. The Pole Pig within the IsoGray System completely isolates the front-end components while the patented parallel technology of the 400S MKII, 600S or 1200S provides the rest of the system with instantaneous, high current on demand with no limitations and eliminates inter-component crosstalk.

The Pole Pig also offers surge suppression by way of a 280v clamp and onboard MOV (metal oxide varistor). Combining the Pole Pig with other RGPC products mounts an even stronger, triple-stage surge defense for complete system protection.

The Pole Pig can be mounted in a custom A/V rack, or placed on a shelf of an equipment rack and is available with a black or silver faceplate. The MSRP of the Pole Pig is $1,495.00 and is shipping now.

Richard Gray's Power Company (RGPC) designs, engineers and manufactures the only patented, non-current limiting Power Delivery System for the home theater market. RGPC's parallel technology captures and restores instantaneously high-current-on-demand, working cycle-to-cycle to satisfy power hungry equipment while rejecting power spikes and smaller surges that lead to premature failure of sensitive electronics. RGPC products are proudly manufactured in the U.S.A. and are sold solely through their network of professional audio/video dealers and installers.
