Hitachi Announces New High-Lumen XGA Projectors
For Medium-To-Large Sized Venues

CP-X1250/CP-X1200 Series Feature Wide Range of Lens Options
and Network Functionality
BRISBANE, Calif.,December 16, 2003 - Hitachi America, Ltd., a subsidiary of Hitachi, Ltd., Tokyo, Japan (NYSE: HIT), today announced the availability of the CP-X1250 and CP-X1200 series LCD projectors designed for large-scale presentation venues such as auditoriums, training centers and lecture halls. Both projectors offer XGA resolution (1024x768), exceptionally high brightness and a wide range of lens options for flexibility with any environment.

The CP-X1250 series offers brilliant, crisp images at 4,500 ANSI lumens and a 750:1 contrast ratio, while the CP-X1200 series delivers 3,500 ANSI lumens and a 500:1 contrast ratio. Both projectors display images via a 1.5x zoom lens that can enable projection on screens up to 100 inches and are outfitted with a bayonet lens that can support up to four optional lenses for specific application needs based on the size and environment of a room.

"Our XGA products have always been among our most popular models for a wide range of business and education uses," said Pete Denes, director of sales for Hitachi America, Ltd., Digital Media Division. "With the introduction of the CP-X1250 and CP-X1200 series, we look forward to providing our renowned level of versatility and advanced feature set, but with the added, required enhancements for large-scale venues."

The CP-X1250 and CP-X1200 series can also be remotely controlled and maintained through either a wireless IEEE802.11b or a wired 802.1/1BASE-TX network connection, providing the ability to network, control and maintain the projectors remotely. The network functionality also makes it easy to control multiple projectors in different rooms and to monitor for functions such as remaining lamp life.

Additional product features provided by both the CP-X1250 and CP-X1200 series projectors include, digital horizontal and vertical keystone correction, lens shift (10:1 to 1:1), progressive scan for reproducing the highest quality picture, front exhaust systems and convenient lamp replacement. Both projectors weigh 17 pounds and offer a full range of connectivity options such as RGB, composite, component, DVI, S-Video and USB.
