SANYO INTRODUCES DYNAMIC 16:9 WIDE LARGE VENUE MULTIMEDIA PROJECTOR

SANYO PLV-WF10 Offers Impressive Brightness and Contrast
While Offering Optional Network Control & Administration Capabilities

LAS VEGAS, April 19, 2004, NAB, Booth # SL3624 – SANYO Fisher Company's Presentation Technologies Division today announced the addition of the PLV-WF10 to its family of wide 16:9 multimedia projectors. SANYO now offers in its line the largest number of wide 16:9 LCD projector models available.

The wide PLV-WF10 (1366 x 768) brings a wealth of technology with its 4000 ANSI Lumens delivered from a pair of 250 watt UHP lamps. To start, the projector has advanced image processing with SANYO's exclusive, 10-bit motion adaptive de-interlace image processing circuits. This means highly improved playback of moving images. The 1080i signals are converted into progressive signals while 2-3 pulldown doubles the resolution of images from DVD playback.

"This is our most impressive 16:9 wide XGA LCD projector yet," said Mark Holt, vice president for sales and marketing SANYO Fisher Company's Presentation Technologies Division. "It offers what the professional needs in producing optional picture quality, color and contrast."

The PLV-WF10 achieves a 900:1 contrast ratio by utilizing micro lens technology, which increases light efficiency, resulting in significantly brighter images.

To further improve the picture quality, SANYO employs its second-generation pipelined parallel processor, which performs a sharpening process, followed by a single pass noise- reduction process.

SANYO has improved and refined its color separation processing at the optical level. The PLV-WF10, as with other SANYO professional level models, lets you achieve the requirements of the source material being shown by selecting gamma processing and color balance from one of the pre-determined color modes. SANYO goes beyond letting one use its exclusive "Real Color Manager". This built-in tool allows a user to become an expert colorist by creating a custom gamma and color correction table and then running it through a computer via the included software. One simply then compares the on-screen image to a printed chart.

For network control and administration, an optical network board allows for the simple control and management of the projector via a CAT5 network connection. The network board can memorize and store up to 55 PC modes and can also be used in parallel with RS-232 controllers.

The PLV-WF10 offers quick-change (easy mount) lens capability. Bayonet-type lens mount adaptors to the projector make installation and removal of the many lens options quick and easy.

The SANYO PLV-WF10 has MSRP of $12,995.00. It's backed by a three-year parts and labor warranty as well as a 90-day original lamp warranty. This new wide 16:9 projector is available now through SANYO's national network of professional audiovisual dealers.
