Notevision5 and Notevision2 Upgraded To an Illuminating 1000 And 1400 ANSI Lumens

ORLANDO, Fla., June 10, 1999 -- Sharp Electronics Corporation today announced brightness upgrades to two of its most popular portable LCD projectors. Upgraded to 1000 ANSI lumens of uniform brightness are the XGA Notevision5 (XG-NV5XB), the industry's first compact LCD XGA projector with wireless input, and the SVGA Notevision2 (XG-NV2SB), designed specifically for field sales force automation and corporate training, are upgraded to 1000 and 1400 ANSI lumens of uniform brightness, respectively.

For mobility and a quick set-up, the upgraded Notevision5 is ideal. Weighing only 10 pounds, the compact and lightweight Notevision5 packs top performance and a plethora of "presenter friendly" functions into an extremely manageable package. The Notevision5 features Sharp's IrCOM capability to let users transfer digital images from a laptop or a compatible device equipped with IrTranP directly to the projector.

The Notevision2 is ideal for professionals who require a full-feature portable projector that can easily be moved around the office or around the world. With three 1.3" polysilicon TFT LCD panels with a native resolution of 832 x 624 for full screen, the Notevision2 delivers top presentation performance. Two 15-pin HD computer inputs allow two PCs to be simultaneously connected; in addition, there are inputs for VCR, laser disc or DVD player.

The new high image quality XGA compact Notevision5 and SVGA portable Notevision2 will be available in August through Sharp's authorized dealer network at suggested list prices of $8,995 and $6,995 respectively..
