Sharp Debuts Two New LCD Projectors for Sale Though Dealers/Resellers, VARs, Internet and Mail Order
Combining Top Performance and Portability, Sharp Pro Series Projectors Offer Unparalleled Efficiency for the Mobile Professional
ORLANDO, Fla., June 10, 1999 Sharp Electronics Corporation, a trusted name amongst mobile professionals, introduces the Sharp Pro Series PG-D120 and PG-D210 portable LCD projectors. With surprisingly small footprints, these two cost-effective units provide a level of usability and performance that was previously only available in bulkier machines.
The portable XGA (1024 x 768) PG-D210 features 1000 ANSI lumens of uniform brightness making it bright enough to display crystal clear images on large screens, even in less than ideal lighting conditions. Combined with its 1:1.6x zoom lens and Sharps ImageACE resizing technology, it delivers a consistent high level of clarity and detail whether working with low or high resolution images.
The compact SVGA (800 x 600) PG-D120, weighing less than 10 pounds, offers maximum portability without sacrificing performance. With 700 ANSI lumens and a 1:1.5x zoom lens, the PG-D120 offers a complete feature set that distinguishes it from others in its class. For example, Sharps autoSync technology simplifies the set-up process by automatically adjusting the phase and clock image controls, functions that usually require manual adjustment.
While business professionals will be pleased by the expansive features of both units, users in professions like teaching and personal training will be impressed with the Sharp Image Quality and budget-friendly price point.
Other advanced features that make these projectors an ideal portable presentation system for mobile sales and training executives, as well as educators, include:
- Fits in an Airplane Overhead - Together with Notebook PC With most airlines now strictly enforcing a two-bag carry-on limit and some airlines experimenting with a one-bag carry-on limit, the PG-D210 and PG-D120 are the projectors of choice for image-conscious traveling presenters who need to fit their projector and PC in one carry-on bag - without sacrificing the quality of their presentation.
- High Quality Audio System A built-in amplifier with matched speakers is built-into the projector (stereo audio in the PG-D120; monaural in the PG-D210). This eliminates the need for an external sound system. Multiple audio inputs are provided for use with video and computer sources, and a stereo audio line-out connector is also provided for easy connection to powered speakers or a larger "house" system.
- Ergonomically Designed Infrared Remote Projector functions are combined with wireless mouse control and laser pointer in one easy-to-use device. Users can control important projector functions such as color, brightness, input select, audio volume, and the computer mouse - up to 40 feet away.
A wide assortment of fully compatible optional accessories are also available from Sharp. These include carrying bags and cases to hold the projector and a notebook PC, ATA spec shipping cases, ceiling mounting brackets, and wall-mount projection screens.
The SharpPro PG-D210 (XGA portable) and PG-D120 (SVGA compact) will be available in July through AV and PC dealers, resellers and VARs at suggested retail prices of $8,485 and $4,995 respectively.
