Vidikron Introduces Two New DLP™ ProjectorsVideo Display Innovator Expands Line of High-Performance Home Theater Video Projectors
"Our new single-chip DLP Vision model projectors give home theater enthusiasts an impressive picture and enhanced flexibility with today's most advanced video sources," said Jim McGall, vice president of Vidikron. "For example the Vision 45 incorporates Texas Instruments' cutting-edge HD-2+ light processing DLP chip to reproduce some of the best high-definition images from any HD source. These two new projectors are for anyone who's serious about creating an engaging movie experience without breaking their budget."
The Model 45 (also available in an extended throw lens option, Model 45ET) features true 720p high definition performance, light output of 1000 ANSI lumens and contrast ratio of 1700:1, while the Model 25 (and extended throw 25ET) delivers solid widescreen performance, 900 ANSI lumens of light output and 1600:1 contrast ratio, making either projector a superb choice for home theaters with widescreen requirements up to 96 inches diagonal. Both units are delivered in an elegant Italian inspired styling and finished to blend with any décor.
Internal video processing with 3:2 film detection circuitry and full HDTV compatibility (with outboard tuner/decoder or satellite receiver) ensures stunning results from any video source. These new models also include Vidikron's IntelliWide™ multiple aspect ratio control, providing the ability to view standard video formats in widescreen modes without significant loss of image quality. Advanced digital correction and discrete IR or RS-232 control facilitate custom installations seamlessly, while direct source and aspect ratio selection modes accommodate even the most advanced automation control systems.
The Vision Model 45 offers a variable throw distance of 1.38 to 1.63, while the extended throw edition (Model 45ET) provides a longer variable throw distance of 1.83 to 2.40. The Vision Model 25 offers a variable throw distance of 1.71 to 2.06, while the Model 25ET provides a longer variable throw distance of 2.31 to 3.06. All models ship with professional grade lenses and feature the exclusive `Cat's Eye' optical system, which enhances contrast and optimizes black level performance. In addition, a unique 9-point white balance system accounts for superb gray scale tracking, producing stunning image quality with crisp detail and deeply saturated colors.
