The new EVSX1 projector sets the benchmark for simplicity-of-use in Professional applications

CES 2005, (Hilton suite 2910), Las Vegas, USA – 6 December, 2005 - Building on its tradition of quality and innovation, SIM2 Multimedia, the leading manufacturer of home theater projectors, announces through its sister company SIM2 USA Inc. the introduction of the new EVSX1 projector based on SXGA+ DMD chip by Texas Instruments.

The EVSX1 projector has been designed specifically for the professional and special AV installations markets and sports the following array of upgraded features:
New SXGA+ chip by Texas Instruments - The EVSX1 sports Texas Instruments newest SXGA+ DMD for a resolution of 1400 x 1050 pixels.
Phenomenal Contrast Ratio - The SXGA+ DMD chip coupled with SIM2 high quality optics allow the EVSX1 to reach a true contrast ratio of >2500:1 thus delivering on screen the outstanding image quality synonymous to SIM2.
High Brightness and picture quality - The 160-200 Watt dimmable lamp and special purpose color wheel ensure optimal brightness and picture quality (2000 ANSI lumens) The new EVSX1 projector is perfectly suited for integrated boardrooms, training settings, electronic cinema, virtual reality equipment and even large auditoriums. It includes motorized zoom, focus and lens shift to accommodate most room sizes and configurations.,br> Accurate color rendition -A combination of SIM2 proprietary light engine and the 4-segment color wheel ensures that the SIM2 EVSX1 delivers an accurate color rendition: reds, greens and blues are rich saturated and vibrant colors for a film-like image.
Future proof inputs and advanced video processing – The EVSX1 PROLine projector features an impressive array of digital connections, including HDMI™ input. HDMI™ is a pure digital connection that transmits the uncompressed bitstream directly from the source through to the display - even high definition - and is backwards compatible with DVI.
On board 2nd generation DCDi™ Video Processing – The EVSX1 projector benefits from the most sophisticated, state-of-the-art, processing available such as Faroudja de-interlacing with Directional Correlational Deinterlacing (DCDi™) that prevents the introduction of motion artifacts and jagged edges. It also incorporates 3:2 pull down circuitry for flawless reproduction of film sources. Complete compatibility with all video sources, picture standards (PAL, NTSC, SECAM) and computer graphics up to 1600 x 1200 pixels resolution (compressed): computers, work stations, DVD players, analogue and digital VCRs, digital satellite receivers, etc.
Complete versatility - the EVSX1 projector's size, weight, brightness and resolution provide the power of freedom and flexibility, enabling users to project anytime and anywhere.

At CES 2005, SIM2 will also show the E-volution series (HT500 and HT300) of home theater front projectors, the Domino 55M rear projector, the HTL40 LCD display series and the RT80 rearprojector.
