Hitachi America Projectors Now Available with Lantronix Networking
Major Initiative That Allows for All Hitachi America Projectors to Be Equipped With Network Capabilities Is Part of Certified Solution Program
"It's fitting that we announce the availability of Lantronix technology for Hitachi projectors at NSCA Expo," said Pete Denes, director of sales for Hitachi America. "Each year, NSCA Expo highlights the continuing convergence of audio/video and IT technologies, and network-enabled projection is an important result of this trend."
Hitachi's PJ Man allows you to manage, control, diagnose and schedule events for an individual or group of Hitachi projectors. As well, e-mail alerts can be generated by PJ Man for scheduled maintenance and / or error conditions. Hitachi models that embed LAN connections include the CP-X445, CP-X1200, and CP-X 1250. All other Hitachi projectors can be network-enabled via Lantronix external device servers. Hitachi America will offer the Lantronix UDS-10(TM) and UDS-100(TM) devices, allowing remote management and monitoring capabilities over the network. The UDS device servers enable management of serial devices over IP-based Ethernet networks. Both products provide a quick, simple, and cost-effective way to bring the advantages of data accessibility and remote management to thousands of devices that are not currently connected to a network. In addition, for situations where wireless connectivity is needed, Lantronix's WiBox(TM) enables Hitachi America projectors to be managed via 802.11b wireless networks. The WiBox simplifies connectivity to projectors where cabling is prohibited or mobility is required.
"This is an exciting convergence and together with Hitachi, Lantronix makes it possible for organizations to achieve efficient control and management of A/V devices from anywhere over the network," said Marc Nussbaum, president and CEO of Lantronix.
