PLUS Vision Corp. of America Introduces New Dual Color Mode Technology and Latest in U5 Projector Line at InfoComm

Press Release  |  Jun 8, 2005

Patent-pending dual color mode technology to optimize color
in future PLUS projectors

LAS VEGAS --(Business Wire)-- June 8, 2005-- PLUS Vision Corporation of America, the leader in lightweight, mobile projector technology, will introduce its new Dual Color Mode technology at the InfoComm show in Las Vegas, June 8-10. PLUS Vision's patent-pending Dual Color Mode is an innovative technology that allows users to easily switch between two color modes. It will be incorporated into future designs of projectors. PLUS Vision will also debut its newest family members in the U5 projector line. The new Dual Color Mode allows users to switch color wheel configurations for business applications and premium video applications. For business presentations, a four-segment color wheel consisting of red, green, blue and white color segments can be used. When more vibrant color saturation is required, the projector's color wheel can be switched to a six-segment color wheel with a red, green, blue, red, green, blue configuration. These configurations can easily be switched back and forth by the push of a button.

"The new color mode opens exciting new possibilities for our projector family," said Tom Oishi, President and CEO of PLUS Vision Corporation of America. "The technology behind this Dual Color Mode will enable the same high quality presentations for business, education and government settings expected from PLUS Vision. The bonus is the wheel will transform into a superb projector to display movies or digital images with great color reproduction."

PLUS Vision will also preview at InfoComm the latest from the U5 series of projectors. The new U5-632 and the U5-732 were developed to enhance the capabilities available in the U5 line, which meets needs in a variety of settings.

The four-pound, compact DLP projectors have a contrast ratio of 2000:1. The U5-632 is a 2200 lumen projector with 3000 lumens in bright mode. It features PLUS Vision's short focus lens that allows large images to be displayed within short distances to a screen. The U5-732 projector is 2300 lumens. Both projectors have full automatic adjustment, including digital keystone correction.

These two new XGA projectors enhance the offering in the U5 family of projectors to nine. The new U5-632 and the U5-732 both incorporate PLUS Vision's Advanced Color Wheel (ACW) technology. This technology greatly improves the color reproduction and clarity of a projected image. Like the Dual Color Mode, the Advanced Color Wheel demonstrates PLUS Vision's commitment to continually provide optimal projector features to meet a variety of applications.

Pricing, Accessories and Availability
All U5s ship standard with all necessary accessories needed for effective presentations, including lightweight cables, a full-function remote control with built-in laser pointer and a soft carrying case for both the projector and accessories.
