Optoma Introduces the EP910, the Latest Advanced DLP Data Projector

INDIANAPOLIS (Sept. 9, 2005) – Optoma Technology, Inc. introduces the EP910, its newest high-performance digital projector for the office and corporate environments. With its stylish look, the EP910 fits perfectly into any office that values both top design and high-quality digital projection. The EP910 features Texas Instruments' DarkChip3 DLP™ chipset for the highest resolution on the market at 1400 x 1050, which is closest to a native 1080p high-definition signal.

The EP910 delivers vivid digital images with 10-bit per channel color, which provides full color saturation and a 2000:1 contrast ratio to deliver subtle color details. Because of the EP910's unique 1400 x 1050 resolution, it supports true 5:4, 4:3 and 16:9 (HD) pixel-to-pixels matching in notebook computers, without the need for scaling or resizing.

The EP910 digital projector uses DarkChip3 DLP technology to assist in projecting higher brightness and deeper black levels; the EP910 is able to do this because the mirrors are placed closer together than in previous DMD chips. Offering remarkable clarity and brightness, the EP910's specifications make it the perfect addition to any corporate office: a brightness level of 3500 lumens, notebook computer support, video capabilities, and network connectivity.

The EP910 also incorporates network management capability, with a user-interface and Web application that allows the projector to be managed through a PC. The user can control the EP910, as well as all other connected EP910 projectors, through the PC's control panel, and configure basic network settings for all projectors throughout the network.
