RUNCO ANNOUNCES NEW PLATINUM EDITION VX-1000d
Limited edition, commemorative version of the VX-1000d is
signed, numbered and colored platinum
"This is the first time we've ever offered a Collector's edition of one of our projectors," stated Runco's Founder and CEO Sam Runco (pictured here signing the VX-1000d). "It's an honor and a pleasure to see the excitement this project has generated. This limited edition package bundles a number of perks to commemorate our longest running projector."
Each Platinum Edition VX-1000d owner will be enrolled in Runco's exclusive Signature Cinema Club. Club benefits include special member newsletters, information about Runco's industry activities and special events, personal movie selections from Sam Runco's private collection and as a special bonus; each Platinum Edition VX-1000d will come with a Runco CR-26HD LCD TV.
The new Platinum Edition VX-1000d includes Reflectance Volume Regulation (RVR) for adjustable iris control of contrast ratio versus light output for the best imaging performance in any viewing environment. For better gray scale tracking than any other consumer DLP available, the VX-1000d features nine-point Color Balance, while the latest ultra-high contrast 16:9 DMD (Digital Micro-Mirror Device) from Texas Instruments™ produces an exceptionally high contrast ratio for maximum light output and better black level than even film. It also includes a special Whitney prismatic anamorphic lens, exclusive to the Platinum Edition VX-1000d.
The limited edition Platinum Edition VX-1000d projector system also includes the Runco DHD™ Digital Controller/Processor for converting NTSC or PAL signals to the 720p native resolution of the projector. Engineered with advanced Vivix II™ digital video processing to produce stunning video imagery, the DHD provides for a pure digital signal path from input to output and resides outboard of the projector chassis.
The Platinum Edition VX-1000d is also upgradeable to add CineWide™ to reproduce 2:35 CinemaScope™ super widescreen movies with breathtaking accuracy and full vertical height for the first time. The CineWide option maximizes clarity, color saturation and contrast of all source material to deliver a truly cinematic quality never before available on DVD.
MSRP of the Platinum Edition VX-1000d is $14,995 and is available now until all 300 units are gone. For more information on Runco International, Inc., please visit www.runco.com.
