SIM2 Previews First Three-Chip 1080p DLP® Projector for Home Theater at 2006 CEDIA Expo
"Three-chip DLP front projection is the ultimate expression of home theater performance," commented SIM2 Multimedia CEO Maurizio Cini. "Now, through the implementation of the newly introduced 1080p DMD chipset into our three-chip HT5000 projector system, SIM2 is delivering the most engaging and realistic cinematic experience performance ever available in this market."
"SIM2 has built a strong reputation for delivering outstanding home theater products based on our DLP technology," commented Nancy Fares, Business Manager of TI DLP Cinema® Products. "We are very excited to be able to showcase their HT5000 as one of the first three-chip DLP projection system for home theater at this year's CEDIA Expo. It is an experience that dealers, installers, and enthusiasts will not want to miss."
The SIM2 HT5000 projector combines the full resolution and clarity of the 1080p video standard (1920x1080) with the remarkable color reproduction, contrast, and brightness of a three-chip configuration. It employs a trio of Texas Instruments' recently introduced 0.95" 1080p DarkChip3™ DMD chips, high quality SIM2 optics, and a 300-watt lamp for a bright, realistic image with a contrast ratio of >5000:1 (Full ON/Full OFF), and unprecedented color fidelity.
The SIM2 HT5000 projector will be available in the coming months in single and dual 300-watt lamp configurations, both as standalone units and in tandem with the latest generation of SIM2's acclaimed DigiOptic™ Image Processor. Additional information on availability and pricing will be announced in the fourth quarter of 2006.
