I bought the Hitachi CP-X2 to use for business and occasional home use - family browsing and movies. It's not that great for movies due to the relatively low contrast ratio - 500:1. It's my first projector and I researched quite a while before buying it; finally selecting the CP-X2 because of its wireless capability, portability, and short throw lens. I have used it a couple of months and am quite satisfied with it except for the screen update response time when using it in wireless mode. For example, when connected wirelessly, if you just move the cursor, the screen update may take anywhere from 2 to 8 seconds. I am talking to Hitachi about this and hope there is a solution. During my research I was considering a different brand projector that also had wireless connectivity - until I found out that the wireless capability required proprietary wireless adapters in the PCs that connected. I found the Hitachi customer support to be quite helpful and responsive in helping set up the wireless modes. I use it both in adhoc wireless mode (direct wireless between the projector and a laptop) and also infrastructure mode (connecting through a wireless router).
The only problem that concerns me is the slow screen updates in wireless mode.
