Purchased the unit back in 2006.Did not know much about projectors but needed one for a memorial presentation and was on a tight budget. Without much practice, setup at presentation was quite easy and presentation of captured images was remarkable. Had not given much thought of ever using it again and contemplated returning the unit. After several months had passed, return was out of the question so I decided to "experiment"!
After connecting the composite output of my DVD/VCR combo I was suprisingly pleased with the 70" diagonal image projected onto the screen. It improved with S-Video out and after further experimentation with scalers/converters I stumbled upon a component to SVGA connector.Using this connector with the projector in computer mode yields an image that is truly remarkable for such a low contrast machine. The Accublend really works exceptionlly well in SVGA mode! For the price about $600 with a portable screen I could not be happier. I've since added a relatively cheap Wally World 700W 5.1 home theater system.
WOW says it all.
Recieved clean/replace air filter. After several cleanings problem has not been observed.
