Personal Experience
Overall it lasted 6 years with minimal use (used for teaching sessions of 2 hours twice per week, plus watching Wimbledon tennis finals each year).

Problems
Eventually the power source became unreliable (perhaps a fuse has blown?).....never had to replace lamps though! :-)
