I Bought 2 of these units for our church based on previous good experience I had with Infocus. Unforutnately that is no longer the case. Image quality and features are good, but with reliability of this type, the value for the money is about as bad as it gets. I have talked to others in the industry that have since(too late) warned me that LP-500's have been the bane of many an A/V person in past few years. Big surprise that the model is now discontinued.
Have had both units returned a combined total of 4 times over the past 2 years for a myriad of problems (screen flicker, bad image color, distorted image, etc.) even with only moderate usage (used for church on Sunday mornings). I strenuously complained to Infocus on the last return for service stating that I thought I should get new units to replace these based on the continual problems and was told point blank, "That's not going to happen!". Now the 2 year warranty just expired 3 months ago and guess what, one of the two units is malfunctioning again. I can tell Infocus what else isn't going to happen, them having me buy one of their products ever again! I'll be sure to spread the news of my experience with their company far and wide!
