Personal Experience
I have found that if you turn on the projector without turning on the dvd or the amp depends on how you connected it the light wont go on because it is not receiving a signal. Then I turned the dvd and the amp on but the light still didn't go on. I was very upset then I switched the unit off, this time turning on the dvd player and the amp first and then the projector and it began to light up. Touch wood!! but I have been doing it that way and I have never had a problem again. I think that is the only flaw that once it is on without a signal the unit tends to not turn on the light, might be a powersaving thing who knows.
Problems
as above mentioned, but the unit is fantastic forget about the movies.
