I've only had this model for a week and so far I am very pleased. We use this mostly for movies played from a DVD player and projecting on a white wall and it looks very very good. (A large white foam board also works great! )
Once you project it, 50" looks awesome, but you wont be able to settle for that when you can have a 7ft. image in your face. (This projector can display an image up to 25 ft.) This beats a large-screen 50" TV at 1/3 the price!
The on-screen features includes different screen settings (Standard, Dynamic, Cinema. Living, etc.) and allow you to adjust colors, hues, sharpness and other settings. I found that some DVDs display better in standard mode and others in "Dynamic" or "Living" mode. Selecting your choice of mode is a breeze, and you can customize the settings to get the best picture.
I would suggest checking out a large retailer and try it out (they usually have a 30-day return policy).
If you don't like it, you can always return it.
The unit is about the size of a smaller slide projector , and it has a nice carrying case.
