Personal Experience
Have owned this new projector for two months and it is outstanding in terms of picture quality. The high output 250w lamp combined with a 3.1 gain screen allows the projector to throw my image 19 feet onto a 120" screen with significant ambient light during the day with impressive clarity and color. The image with controlled lighting is great with deep black contrasts.

Problems
No quality problems encoutered so far. As for value it is hard to say given the rapid price reductions going on in the DLP market over the past 12-18 months.
