Upcoming home theater reviews

This time of year is normally quiet in the home theater side of the business, but we've got two more 1080p 3D models on the near term schedule...

First, the SharpVision Z30000 has arrived and is in review at the moment. This unit is just now beginning to ship at an MSRP of $4,999. It is full HD 3D, with a contrast spec of 50,000:1 and a lumen rating of 1600. We hope to get the review of this projector completed by end of next week.

Meanwhile, the Sony VPL-VW95ES is coming soon. It was initially scheduled to arrive last week, but was delayed a bit. We are still awaiting an update from Sony on when that one will arrive. The VW95ES is also full HD 3D, with contrast at 150,000:1 and 1000 lumens.

In other news, ProjectorCentral is about to launch a new sister site focused on digital cameras. If you want an advance peek at what we're doing, go to 2 Camera Guys. This is a new project so there is a lot of content still in the works. But we'd be happy to get your feedback.
