Coming projector reviews

We are entering the time of year when things get hotter in the commercial projector lines, and not as volatile in home theater products...

Having just posted a review of the Acer H6500, the new 1080p model for only $899, we are turning to several new pico and portable models from Epson, Casio, Ricoh, Sony, and Viewsonic. Several of these reviews are underway and will be rolled out over the next couple of weeks.

Meanwhile, the just announced Epson Home Cinema 710HD, a 720p projector for $649, should be here shortly, and we'll get that written up asap. No firm schedule as of yet.

What happened to your review of the new Sharp Z30000 projector

Regarding the status of the Sharp Z30000 review, we questioned whether the original Z30000 that we received was representative of the product since it was showing some artifacts that were unusual for SharpVision home theater products. We requested a second sample, which just arrived a few days ago. But it is not processing the red channel, so it appears to have been damaged in shipment. Once we get a functioning Z30000 that is a good representation of the product we will proceed with the review. I don't know at this point how long it will take to get this sorted out, so I am reluctant to make any predictions.

Hey, I'm really looking forward to a review on the Epson 710HD. I have seen zero feedback on this on wanted to see when you will be reviewing this projector.

Ok so what is the season for home theater projectors? When do they start releasing their new models? In the fall of 2012? Thanks.
