BenQ HT3050 & HT2050 review posted

If you're in the market for home theater projectors under $1000, check the latest review of BenQ's new releases...

The HT3050 is priced at $999 and the HT2050 is at $799. These are essentially the same basic projector, but with some noteworthy differences that it is vital to know about. See the BenQ HT3050 & HT2050 review for details.

Having completed this review we will move to a shootout of several excellent home theater projectors in this price niche, including the BenQ models, the Epson Home Cinema 2040, and the Optoma HD28DSE.

Grant Stewart, 60, Passes Away

We were deeply sadden last night to receive the news that Grant Stewart, President and CEO of Stewart Filmscreen, passed away on Tuesday, October 27, after a battle with cancer. Grant has been a respected and influential leader in the projection industry for decades. His passion for top quality projection, both in commercial and home theater venues, and his unwavering pursuit of perfection in the screen products his company produces, has served to elevate quality standards industry-wide.

We offer our heartfelt condolences to the Stewart family and wish the Stewart Filmscreen management team the very best as they work through this difficult transition. (See the company's formal announcement.)
