BenQ Releases All-In-One Golf-Sim Projection Solution

BenQ's AK700ST is a 4,000-lumen 4K short-throw laser golf simulator projector that was designed to easily switch between immersive golf simulation and 4K resolution movies or TV content. It uses Auto Screen Fit and Quick Focus intelligent technology to automate the install and setup process to achieve full-screen projection and easier transitions for the chosen screen and space at the touch of a button.

According to BenQ's calculations, the AK700ST can project a 16:9 aspect ratio 120-inch image from 6.0-7.2 feet away, 150 inches from 7.5-9.0 feet, 180 inches from 9.1-10.9 feet, or 200 inches from 10.0-12.1 feet.

With its AK700ST, BenQ has simplified the installation process with just a few clicks on its RCA012 remote control. Users can easily change aspect ratios with a single click for a seamless full-screen experience without having to adjust settings.

Equipped with features such as a motorized lens and advanced sensors, the AK700ST automatically detects the screen size, adjusts the zoom, corrects tilt, and delivers a focused image.

The BenQ AK700ST's short-throw lens (0.69-0.83 throw ratio) and motorized zoom (1.2x) capabilities allow for safe installation away from the hitting area while preventing shadows on the screen, no matter the screen size. With an onboard camera and motorized zoom and focus, the projector quickly identifies the edges of the impact screen and adjusts the image automatically in seconds. The AK700ST accommodates all standard screen sizes, including popular 1:1 aspect ratio screens often used in garage setups.

The AK700ST offers exclusive "golf color modes," promising 95% Rec. 709 color accuracy to ensure that every detail—from the lush green fairways to the deep blue oceans—is vivid and lifelike.

Like all projectors in the BenQ's golf-sim lineup, it features a maintenance-free design. An IP5X-rated, sealed, dust-proof laser engine eliminates the need for lamp replacements and filter cleaning, allowing users to focus on their game without worrying about maintenance.

The BenQ AK700ST features true 4K resolution and 8.3 million pixels, bringing every detail of the golf course to life, in addition to 4,000 lumens of brightness and high-contrast. As a result, the projector can be used in well-lit environments, making it ideal for standard enclosures and varied lighting conditions, such as garages.

The AK700ST is designed to meet the needs of modern users with its advanced connectivity options. With an optional WiFi dongle connected to a USB-A port on the back of the projector, the AK700ST's Wi-Fi capability supports wireless projection from mobile devices, eliminating the need for cables and ensuring seamless integration with various launch monitor setups. The projector's back panel also includes a USB-C port (DP ALT Mode and DC 5V/1A Out), two HDMI ports (HDMI 2.0, HDCP 1.4/2.2), a second USB-A port (1.5A power/FW upgrade), an RS232 In (D-sub 9pin, male), and an audio out mini jack.
