Epson Introduces 12 PowerLite L-Series Portable Commercial Projectors

Responding to the rising demand for large, bright, and unique displays in corporate, educational, and entertainment settings, Epson is launching 12 new 3-chip 3LCD PowerLite L-Series laser projectors. The new PowerLite L-Series will be on display at ISE in Barcelona from Feb. 4-7 at Epson's stand 3J100 and will be available in April 2025.

The new lineup (pricing TBA) delivers higher brightness and pro-level features in a portable design, with an expanded range of throw ratios to solve placement challenges. With standard-throw projectors and newly added optical zoom on two short-throw options, the PowerLite L-Series now covers a range of throw ratios between 0.5 to 2.2. This allows greater installation flexibility across applications, from floor and rear projection to meeting rooms and lecture halls.

Previously only available in Epson's interchangeable lens lineup, the new projectors include installation tools such as NFC, advanced geometric correction, and the optional PixAlign camera for simplifying complex multi-projector installations such as screen matching, blending, or stacking.

"Combining 3-chip and 4K Enhancement Technology that doubles HD resolution on screen, plus now up to 8,000 lumens of brightness and short-throw zoom models, the new PowerLite L-Series is a very enticing lineup that offers impressive image quality and specs within its class," said Chris Teguh, product manager at Epson America Inc.

Powered by Epson's 3-chip 3LCD technology, the new lineup includes an 8,000-lumen model, along with options featuring Full HD WUXGA resolution and 4K Enhancement Technology. Built for a variety of environments — classrooms and lecture halls, conference rooms, and hybrid workspaces — these projectors are designed to produce vibrant, high-resolution images up to 500 inches in a 16:10 aspect ratio. Plus, they are capable of projecting in ultra-wide 16:6 and 21:9 for enhanced content display and visibility.

Designed with convenience in mind, the PowerLite L-Series features a lightweight chassis and up to 30,000-hour virtually maintenance-free laser light source and air filter in Extended Mode. The projectors also offer optical zoom, wide lens shift, and geometric correction tools.

A note about Epson's projector naming convention: To understand the how the model names in the table above are chosen by Epson, let's use the L690SE projector as an example. After the "L" denoting the "L Series," the first number in the model name is a 6, which indicates that the projector model's lumen count is within the "6,000-6,999 range." The second number (9) is the platform/series (that would have been 20 or 30 in projectors introduced between 2021-2024, but it's 90 starting this year.) The "0" in the L690SE represents the color white of the projector. If there's a "5," then the projector is black. The "S" is short throw. If there's no "S," then it's a standard throw model. The "E" denotes 4K enhancement. If it had a "U" in that position instead, it would be a WUXGA model.

With built-in wireless communication, users can monitor and control projector fleets remotely from a web browser using the Epson Projector Management Connected app, as well as enable advanced screen casting tools like Epson iProjection and Miracast.

All PowerLite L models boast advanced wireless casting and networking. WiFi6/6e with WPA 3-enterprise security allows for fast and reliable wireless connectivity for screen casting technologies like Miracast and iProjection V4, which is especially useful in schools where students want to share devices.

Overall, PowerLite L-Series includes various short throw models, resolution options ranging from up to 6,000 to 8,000 lumens of equal color brightness (IDMS rated) and white brightness (ISO rated).
