On this week's episode of the Projector Podcast, Petro Shimonishi joins us from Panasonic Projector & Display Americas where she is director of new business development and the office of business transformation.
Today, we are going to learn a little bit about Petro's 20 years of experience in networked A/V and IT Hardware & Software, but she's mainly here to discuss Panasonic's expanded partnership with Igloo Vision to create TAA-compliant immersive training rooms for defense operations.
These spaces have become critical to training defense professionals in realistic, yet low-risk environments. As a proof of concept at a recent trade show, Panasonic featured a TAA-compliant 5x5-meter immersive space powered by Igloo's Igloo Core Engine software and Panasonic PT-REQ projectors and controlled by TOUGHBOOK laptops and tablets. Designed to meet the needs of the defense and government sectors, the space features a floor-to-ceiling 360-degree projection environment that lets teams collaborate in simulated mission environments, visualize complex data and practice critical operations all while meeting TAA compliance and TS/SCI security clearance.
