I think there are alot better products out there this one is not the best product that can be bought if i had a choose i would have not bought it

This is the best colour reproduction I have seen on a digital projector. The projected image is sharp and close to the quality a projected colour transparency. I am surprised that it has an average contrast ratio of only 1:1000 although it does not seem to affect the gray scale and contrast. The magic of this projector lies in the ability to tweak individual colours on a colour axis.

Any Problems: 1. Although the colour reproduction of images and Audio-Visual presentations from my computer are unsurpassed the MAJOR problem is the servere and unacceptable colour shift that occurs when projecting MPEG video files using Windows media player or DivX media player. Canon SA has not yet been able to tell me how to correct this. Many of my presentations are MPeg or AVI's and I will have to reluctantly return this projector if I cannot get the same colours with the media players. 2. Blotches on the screen caused by dust specks between the lenses from the begining.

First of all, the image quality is simply STUNNING!!! I was amazed by the high resolution and the colors that it's able to produce thanks to the new LCOS-technology (Liquid Crystal On Silicone). This gives you the best of two worlds from LCD and DLP. No screendoor-effect, no rainbow-effects and excellent contrast! The image is crisp but not DLP-sharp which is very nice. I've tried it on both a "normal" white canvas as well as a grey canvas and I must say that you get better contrast with the grey canvas. And don't worry about whites being greyish on a grey canvas because somehow this projector manage to make white look like white. What's the downside then? Well, the fan-noise is audiable though not too irritating. Also, there is no Lens Shift, so if you are planning to position it at an angle you're out of luck. Pay attention to that this is a projector that displays in native 4:3-format. Almost all of the new projectors today display 16:9-format. I use the projector for movies as well as for computer presentations/use, so 4:3 is the format for me. DVD subtitles in the lower black area of a widescreen presentation? Yes, thank you! The pricetag is a bit steep but I must say it's really well worth it!

Any Problems: I had some problems with dust between the lenses that were there from the beginning. It shows as blurry spots on very bright or very dark images. This is probably due to poor assembly at Canon. Also, the fan was producing a vibrating noise. However, both of these problems were solved by a Canon Service Center (take good care of your warranty!) and now I'm a very happy man! =)

IMAGES PROJECTED WERE SIMPLY STUNNING, WITH EXCELLENT WHITE, CRISP AND SHARP FONTS, EVEN 5 PTS FONTS WERE VERY CLEAR AND EXCELLENT IN VIDEO PROJECTION. THIS CAN BECOME AN EXCELLENT PRODUCT FOR HOME THEATER, HIGH QUALITY CUSTOMERS. WITH JUST 4 KGS i.e. JUST HALF THE WEIGHT OF THE NEAREST COMPETITION THE PRODUCT IS SIMPLY A POWER OF TECHNOLOGY.
