I purchased used via e-bay for $405 + ship. (Sep 2002). I use it mainly as a "poor man's" big screen TV, 80 inches on my family room wall. A DVD player connected via s-video cable has amazing picture. Viewed in this way, the image is arguably as good, if not better, than a theater projecton, and has the same "movie house" feel. S-video connection to other sources is also recommended. Connection to VCR for tape or TV is good, but not as impressive as DVD. A composite (RCA) connection from any source looks comparitively darker and blury. A darkened room is also recommended for best performance.

Any Problems: LCD on used projector appears to have one spot (pixel) that fires white all the time. It is off to the side and only noticable on dark frames. Even then you have to be looking for it, to notice flaw. ...image is still far cleaner than most theater projections and the spot is not an annoyance. It may also be helpful to occasionally use compressed air (spray can) to dust off the LCD.
