I have been into projectors since 2003 I have at present time, infocus 4805, Sanyo Z2, Marantz vp-s12-1, Optoma hd80, sharp xv-1000u, Mitsubishi h1000, Sony Pearl..But this projector the Epson 7500u is light years better than all...the enterloping technology gives me the 4 times better than 1080p look that you will see on thse 4k tvs and the 4k stands for Pixels not dollars...Blacks are pure black, it is a lil weird in how super real or 3d the images look, amazing...I am projecting to 120 inch screen and already have anamorphic lens next purchase a142 inch curved 2:35 screen.

Any Problems: nope

I've had my epson for over a year now. Although the image quality is EXCELLENT, and the color depth is still quite impressive compared to other projectors, it routinley fails to deliver with regards to the bulb life. I've gone through about 4 bulbs now, each lasting between 1300-1500 hours out of a promised 2,000... At $300 a peice, I feel like I should have got a free one by now. That being said however, I had a bulb explode today. Fortunatley the projector was built well enough that the explosion did not damage anything. Atleast it seems to be working just fine after a thourough cleaning and a new bulb.

Any Problems: Bulb life is shorter than the 2000 hours promised. Bulbs have a tendancy to overheat and explode, even though I clean the filter regularly. Projector generates a fair amount of heat and can easily warm up a 25X20 room. (Great in winter, but sucks in the summer)

I've been using the projector for about 6 months and have no complaints. The picture is beyond belief!!! You feel like you are the director of the movie, the movie camera is behind you, and you are standing in the same area as the actors. It almost has a 3D feeling at times. My projector is ceiling mounted, slightly farther from the 100" screen than optimal and just a couple of inches off center. The adjustments were easy and the picture shows no distortion. It is also very bright. This is my first projector and research paid off. It's great!! Friends think that DVR'd movies off regular cable HD TV are Blue Ray movies!

This projector has been nothing but great. Excellent brightness and contrast. I love it.

Any Problems: If i did have to complain about something it would have to be the slow handshake with HDMI.

Be cautious if thinking about this one guys! (Epson 6500) Just got it out of the box and within half an hour, I have 2 major disappointments: 1. this thing is LOUD, I'm talking 30+ db. Might not be a problem for some people but was for me. 2. NO KEYSTONE adjustment. Go look at the FAQ on the web, or the on-line manual --it says if you get a trapezoid shaped image, move the projector to the exact dead on center of the screen. Problem is - this thing is HUGE and I already have a mount which works fine but this projector has the lens off to one side, so it isn't dead on center out of the box. Even my 4 year old Panasonic, which I'm replacing, has a keystone adjustment if you are a wee bit off center. The picture quality is amazing but in my opinion some serious design errors were made---maybe that's why they're giving out $500 rebates right now. Other negatives --it runs so hot you could griddle bacon on it, and it's a bright and shiny WHITE color which doesn't look too great on my black home theater ceiling. No I don't work for their competitor. Just bougtht this thing but I'm returning it and taking a look at the Panasonic 3000 or the Mitsubishi.

My projector did not work. Epson offered to replace it. Problem is, they say they are completely out of stock. After waiting more than 4 weeks, there is still not so much as a date the replacement might be available. Epson have a PrivateLine telephone system for reporting problems. When u phone that line, they send u somewhere else, a non-800 number where they will talk to u on your nickel for as long as u want to talk. You are not allowed to speak to a decision maker. The receptionist works her 8 hour shift telling people how sorry she is, then relays messages back to her bosses. Messages tell u nothing. They answer the questions u did NOT ask and ignore the questions u did ask.

Any Problems: Lens mechanism jammed. Problem obvious to any quality control but passed anyway. Inventory control is also useless. To claim there is not one single projector available in the whole of North America, and to make that claim for 4 weeks, is ridiculous. Epson seem to think their customers are idiots. I have not found one sign that Epson give a hoot about their their customers. After u pay the money, u are on your own, baby. Deleted - user posted similar review on 5/12

I was replacing a Infocus 4805 that had the cooling fan die. The picture is awesome. The different modes for viewing are really great. This project is mounted on the ceiling of the family room. The room has a far share of windows. The daylight mode is bright. In the reviews it was commented on that the unit is load. I do not find that at all. In fact my PS3 is loader than the projector. Awesome product for the money.

I have looked at the competition presently available in it's price range, and I find it to be the best available, I am projecting on a 120 diagonal screen in a fairly dark room, excellent picture, definition, colors, depth of picture is awesome, and it does have the wow factor. I am amazed at the quality and would highly recommend this projector.

I purchased the TW4000 in November (the Japanese version of the 6500UB), and I've been pretty much raving about it ever since. I've gone into a pretty in depth series posts about it over at AVSforum.com, if anyone is interested. (Just look for peteer01 and TW4000)

This Projectore was WOW !!!! This is my 3th home theatre projector Upgrading from the Optoma HD72i to the Epson 6500 has been a really good decision. This is the best picture I have seen on any projector This is my first Epson. I`m HAPPY HAPPY YES Problems None

This is my 6th home theatre projector upgrade in 9 years. Each upgrade is done with much study, research, homework, and always some luck with my fingers crossed. After expierencing DLP rainbows I am pretty much an LCD man. Upgrading from the Panasonic AX2000 to the Epson 6500 has been a really good decision. After tweaking the Epson and playing with it for several nights, now I feel like, "How much better can it get"? This is the best picture out of the box before adjustments I have seen on any projector I have owned. This is my first Epson. Epson got this one right! So, bottom line. I am as happy as a kid in a candy store. We'll see what's new in a few years. In the meantime I'm watching the best picture on a 110" screen I've seen in my living room in 10 years...

Although I don't expect Projector Central to agree with this review due to their clear bias towards Panasonic, this is without a doubt the finest projector available on the market today for under $6000.00. It's clear that Epson has decided to take command of this category and after testing both of these projectors at home, the Panasonic 3000 fell short of delivering as impressive of an image.
