The internal 3LCD technology is a 3-chip design that delivers good color brightness and a wide color gamut. This projector was first available for purchase in December 1999 and has been by Hitachi. The Hitachi CP-S840W was also marketed as the ViewSonic PJL855, 3M MP8635, Liesegang dv 225, Acer 7753C, and the Dukane ImagePro 8035.
