I've had this projector 3 years now and I must say it is a superb piece of kit - I run Xbox360 via HD VGA cable on it, Nintendo Wii, Xbox, PC and they all look great My only complaint would be at how long the projector takes to cool down and shut off, other than that its fantastic !!!

Any Problems: Long shutdown time

Overall the projector menus are easy to use. Nice picture, no dead spots, no rainbow effect etc.

Any Problems: I have now cycled through three projectors. The third one is failing, it starts to make noices like a dead hard drive and then will not start. Optoma has replaced the projector not twice, but I believe this product is a lemon. All failures have occured at aprox 280hrs. THis leads me to believe there is a manufacturing defect.

Any Problems: Many problem. The first started a month after owning the projector. The projector would start up with image problems. I had to turn of and on for it to go away. Then you have to wait for the bulb to cool for 2 mins before re-starting. A week after that problem, strangly the projector would flick from video mode the computer mode by itself. Then the picture would just shut off. Very wierd. For people who are really into films and video stay away from this junk projector. Not to mention on the corners of the screen you get this annoying square light that surrounds the picture. And at 14 feet away you only get a 85 inch picture if your lucky. What a piece of junk!!!!

This is a really good projector for the money. I got this projector and have been using it since. I bought a HP6120 after this projector and ended up returining it. Now I'm just using the Optoma. It has 1600 lumens which is nice and bright. Brighter than the HP which claims to boast 2000 lumens. This is a really good projector.

Any Problems: The one main problem I have with this projector is the lens. It sucks. At 14 feet I only get a 79 to 84 inch picture. You have to break down walls to get a 100 inch picture and larger. They need a better lens on this projector.

While the projector worked it was great. The image quality was very good. There was some horizontal discontinuity lines during high action scenes while watching DVDs. They could be ignored but video phials will find this unacceptable. This discontinuity lines were also very visible in scenes with fire and explosions. Other than that the brightness was excellent, and the colors were great as well. I did use the projector on a wall while I was completing a custom screen project for our multimedia room and the image quality and brightness suffered as expected.

Any Problems: The problem occurred after owning the projector for 5 months. A bad connection developed for some reason with the A/V connection panel on the projector. This connection problem caused the image to have extreme miss coloration of the image with a highly digitized image. The video feed cable could be pushed and pulled while connected and the projector and image quality would return, however only for a short period of time. The poor image quality would return. Luckily I had all the original packing material and the receipt and I returned the projector to Best Buy where I purchased the project from their web site. Best Buys customer service is outstanding! They fully reimbursed me for the cost of the projector and returned the unit. I have since purchased my next projector through Best Buy because of their excellent customer service and this time I went with the InFocus X1. I am still awaiting the new projector to arrive so I'll be anxious for a comparison.

Basically, I decided to purchase this instead of a large HDTV. I doubt I will ever regret it, the picture quality is truly amazing. The only thing I was worried about was the contrast ratio, but I ordered a Da-lite High Contrast Cinemavision screen, and when it arrived all fears were laid to rest. Bigger than an HDTV and it takes up less room... yeah.

Any Problems: Very slight rainbow effect at first, but it disappeared after about 3 days. Different sources somethimes require adjusting the brightnes and contrast, but it's no big deal.

Just got it yesterday. A short period of projection just on the wall through computer RGB input delivered stunning video image. Very bright, great contrast. I don't see any need for its big brother, the EZ Pro 753. Also, good value. I bought it from a dealer on Ebay.

Any Problems: Lamp is quite hot after a while.
