Panasonic PT-L701XU User Reviews

Ive had my Panasonic 701XU LCD projector for about 3 months now and can say i truely love this projector, before I got it I demoed the Plus Piano DLP, Sony VW11HT and VW10HT LCD's, the Sharp 9000 DLP and a Sanyo 15. The Panasonic won out for more than a few reasons, cheap bulb $380.00 at 4000 hrs compared to 1000 hr bulbs on the other PJ's with bulb prices up to $580.00. The 701XU is also very very quite. Easy to use and setup, light (under 8 pounds). I use it for home theater only, DVD thru my prog.scan dvd player is amazing, my digital cable chanels look really good to and my anolog chanels are very watchable. My 701XU is ceiling mounted and set in 16:9 mode all the time, I am shooting it on a 16:9 matte white 92" wide Da-Lite pull down screen, the PJ is mounted about 10' from the screen and at a 12 foot seating distance the picture is simply awsome (no screen door effect at all). I have been using front projectors for years and am not new to projectors at all, with that being said I can say this projector "ROCKS", Great picture, Great colors, Bright, and cheap to run with that 4000 hr bulb. Any Problems: The only problem with Pansonic projectors is that more people dont know how great they are for home theater use.
