I picked one up off craigslist for 250, and I'm very happy with it. The picture looks amazing on just a white painted wall for the time being, and has handled HD cable, PS3 and Xbox 360, and Wii beautifully. I have received nothing but compliments about the picture and quality. Would recommend to anyone that can find one cheap.

Any Problems: It doesn't have a speaker, just a heads up.

I got this one from ebay for 450 refurbished and spent an extra 50 on a squaretrade warranty for a year. This projector is my first, but for the price, it cannot be beat. picture is incredibly sharp, even with a VGA cable. This is by far one of my best purchases in a long time, and I love it!!

I upgraded from an IBM E400 projector which has served my uses quite well for the past few years. Seeing how cheap I was able to purchase this projector ($799.00 CDN), and the features it had, I decided to take the plunge. First things first. Out of the box, the Image Quality is amazing. The blacks are dark and the whites jump off the wall (Screen Goo) - even with the lights in my home theatre on. 3000 lumens will do that! All SD (480i and 480p) and HD (720p and 1080i) signals are detected properly and displayed beautifully. This projector will also handle the "in between" resolutions of 576p / 576i. PC input - XGA 1024x768@60Hz is the native resolution but it will handle everything up to 1280 x 1024 @75Hz. I have thrown EVERYTHING at this projector and it is displayed as it should (VCR, DVD, HDDVD, Video Camera etc). Naturally, the composite and S-video inputs don't look as good as HDMI and Component but it is nice to see that the projector doesn't have a problem displaying these inputs. There are a number of ways to mount this projector as well. Front-Floor, Front-Ceiling, Rear-Floor, Rear-Ceiling and will project anywhere from a 30" to 250" diagonal screen. The menus are simple and intuitive - enough that I didn't need to even crack open the manual to tweak the projector settings. With HDMI and Component input, you only have access to Brightness, Contrast, and Sharpness control. There are a number of Color Temps you can tweak but I found that you really didn't have to touch them at all. DVE disc is a must to calibrate properly. There is minor rainbow effect - which is to be expected with a single DLP chip - I've gotten used to it over the years and some people don't notice it at all. Screen door effect - undetectable from 13' away. The projector is solid in construction and the buttons (although hard to see when ceiling mounted) are very sensitive to touch. Using the included remote is recommended as the buttons are well spaced and sized just right. Ceiling mounting the projector means you'll have to take it down to replace the bulb. Another nice feature is a front and rear mounted IR sensor so you can access the projector menu without having to get up off your chair. My major reason for purchasing this projector was for the multitude of inputs available. HDMI, Component (RGB), VGA in, VGA out, S-Video in, Composite Video in (although I'm not sure WHY anyone would use the last 2, including them isn't a bad thing). My main use for the projector is in my home theatre where I have an XBOX, XBOX 360, Wii, and a SONY 300+1 DVD Jukebox. My receiver does Component and HDMI switching which is a plus with this many inputs. I'm quite happy with my purchase and definately recommend this projector to people on a budget and don't care for true 1080 output.
